are the white edges on the rocks done this way on purpose?
this would look, on a print, something resembling oversharpening, right?

aside from this, it's superb!

Good eye for picking up that. I selective sharpened the image, with no sharpening on the rock at all. Looking at the RAW file I'd suggest it's a contrast issue with the light hitting the edges of the rock creating this effect. Even tried to remove it via a CA mask, but to no avail.

Need to learn how to remove this.

Thanks for the comment.

try a healing tool along with precise, to the pixel, selections. this is one way it could work.
another one would be using the burn-in tool along with precise selections.

as always, with Ps, there's always the possibility of using different tools to do the same thing.

hope this helps. :-)

Thanks. I actually tried selection the colour and then changing the hue, it certainly improved it but not perfect. i'll try your method.

Thanks for the tips.

what you have to do is to darken the white line, so it has the same density as the surroundings, either like the ground or the sky.
you must darken it but not change the surroundings.

Thanks Donna. You are spot on the 6 stop filter allowed for a longer exposure adding to the dramatic feel.

They're all outstanding but this is one of your best, in my opinion. The clarity is, as always, exceptional and your smooth waters and reflections and I actually like the tones in this. It's not the usual sunset colors so it's a little out of the mold for you in that respect perhaps. Have to say I don't know your collection the way you do but you do good work my friend.
