Unfortunately you will not find these falls on any map.
After a early morning shooting a rock shelf at the base of South Maroubra Cliffs, I clambered back up to the top of the cliffs and headed for home when I noticed cascading water down to a shelf below. As it was right on low tide the moss covered rocks below were exposed. Not wanting to miss this opportunity I decided to try my luck to get to the bottom, which I obviously managed to achieve. Albeit it’s not for the faint hearted, even with low tide I had to time my movement around the headland to ensure I wasn't swept away by the incoming swells.

South Maroubra Headland, Maroubra NSW.

Why did you use HDR for this scene at all? The dynamic range didn't require it... it just muddied the colour and I think a single RAW would have looked better.

I'm glad you were there and could appreciate the vast vast difference bwtween the shadows and the highlights. Tried the single RAW HDR but it didn't pop at all.

If there were vast differences, you've destroyed them with your HDR treatment. The resulting image is flat and low-contrast, so you've swung to the opposite extreme. It's all the same in the end...

I'm not talking about a single RAW HDR, a single RAW HDR is an oxymoron because it is physically impossible to expand the dynamic range of a single RAW file. I am talking about a single RAW, not HDR at all. It would probably show more of those shadows you talk about. Wish I could see the histogram of this scene to know for sure...

Photography is not only about capturing the momement but also a medium for being creative. It's extremely subjective as to what one likes and or dislikes. Although I respect your feedback, I would suggest in this instance your are incorrect in your observation as you have no idea what the scene or POV was like and are making assumptions that are incorrect.
