It does, must be the blurred motion of the foam around the base of the rock.

Lovely light for a midday shot

Do you usually favour center weighted metering for Landscape shots?

It all depends on the angles of light in the scene. 1hr earlier there was bright sunshine especially in the front right of the scene. When the cloud cover finally arrived it was perfect and I changed back to CW rather then evaluative.
